NJ WOMAN'S CHILLING PLOT: ATTEMPTED MURDER-FOR-HIRE OF EX-BOYFRIEND AND HIS DAUGHTER FOUND THROUGH TINDER
A New Jersey woman has been charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder following a foiled murder-for-hire plot targeting her ex-boyfriend, a 53-year-old Philadelphia police officer, and his 19-year-old daughter. Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, allegedly offered $12,000 to a confidential informant she met on Tinder to carry out the killings.
The investigation began on April 3, 2025, when authorities were alerted to Diiorio's plan. Over the next few days, she met with the informant at a Wawa convenience store in Runnemede, New Jersey, and exchanged texts and phone calls, during which she expressed her intent to have her ex-boyfriend killed.
On April 4, Diiorio met the informant at a Dollar General store in Glendora, New Jersey, where she allegedly provided a $500 down payment for the murders. Following the transaction, Gloucester Township police arrested her and discovered a bottle of suspected alprazolam pills in her possession.
Diiorio is currently held at the Camden County Correctional Facility, awaiting a detention hearing scheduled for April 9, 2025. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities uncovering additional details about Diiorio's relationship with the intended victims, including a past temporary restraining order and a 2022 incident involving a Molotov cocktail attack on the officer's home.
