SECAUCUS, NJ — A Wallington man has been arrested in connection with a stolen vehicle taken from a hotel parking lot earlier this month, police said.

What we know:

A guest at the Extended Stay Hotel on Meadowlands Parkway reported their 2014 Nissan stolen around 12:19 a.m. on April 11.

Hours later, around 8:24 a.m., the vehicle was recovered by Wallington police on Main Avenue.

Secaucus detectives responded and launched a follow-up investigation, ultimately identifying Jonnathan Montoya, 36, of Wallington, as the suspect.

He was arrested on April 23 at his residence.

Montoya is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and was lodged in the Hudson County Jail pending court proceedings.
