
Galloway Man Pleads Guilty to Theft and Burglary Charges Spanning Three Separate Incidents

A Galloway man pleaded guilty to theft, burglary, and obstruction charges stemming from three separate incidents dating back to late 2024, Atlantic County prosecutors announced.
Jesse Winters, 44, of Galloway, was arraigned before Judge Pamela D'Arcy on Thursday, May 14, on charges of third-degree theft, fourth-degree burglary, and fourth-degree obstruction. The plea agreement recommends three years in New Jersey State Prison, to be served concurrently. Sentencing is scheduled for July 9.
According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, the charges stem from three incidents:
On December 3, 2024, Galloway Township police executed a search warrant at Winters' property at 40A W. Morton Avenue. Winters attempted to flee into the woods but was arrested at the scene, officials said.
On February 21, 2025, police responded to the Red Roof Inn and Suites after a motor vehicle was reported stolen. Surveillance footage linked Winters to the theft, and he was charged accordingly.
On February 27, 2025, Atlantic City police received a complaint that tools valued at over $3,600 had been stolen from employees of the Ocean Casino Resort. Surveillance footage showed Winters entering a secured utility room and taking the tools, according to officials.
