New Jersey Father Battling Stage 4 Cancer Asks Community for Help

What happened
A New Jersey father battling cancer is asking the community for support as he continues fighting to be there for his young son.
Tony, of Dayton, says he has been battling Stage 4 Hodgkin lymphoma for the past five years and has experienced multiple relapses. He says he is now pursuing another path forward that could include precision medicine, specialized immunotherapy and potentially stem cell therapy.
But for Tony, the fight goes beyond treatment.
He’s a father to a 6-year-old boy who turns 7 in October, and he says one of his biggest motivations is simply getting the chance to watch his son grow up.
Tony launched a GoFundMe with a $50,000 goal to help cover medical expenses, travel for treatment, transportation and living expenses for his family while he focuses on his health.
“I want to be there for my son’s 7th birthday this October,” Tony wrote, adding that he hopes his family can eventually move beyond simply surviving cancer and get back to living.
For anyone who wants to learn more or support Tony and his family, the fundraiser can be found below.
