Passaic County Prosecutor and Paterson PD announced a troubling incident that unfolded in the early hours of October 22, 2023. At approximately 3:01 a.m., the Paterson Police Department received a call reporting a shooting in the vicinity of Market Street and East 36th Street in Paterson. When officers arrived at the scene and discovered the first victim, a 32-year-old Paterson man who had multiple gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where his condition is currently stable. The second victim was who was taken in a private car to the same hospital, received a fatal shot on his chest, he was pronounced dead. Anyone with information is urged to contact PCPO.
